What it is

The 2025 Callaway Supersoft continues its legacy as a favorite for recreational players who prioritize a plush feel off the clubface. This iteration introduces the HyperElastic SoftFast Core, a clever piece of engineering designed to bridge the gap between low-compression comfort and the ball speed required for respectable distance. While many soft balls lose energy on impact, this core helps retain velocity for longer carries while maintaining the trademark butter-like sensation that golfers expect from the Supersoft name. Beyond the core, the Hybrid Cover provides a versatile balance of durability and spin. It is tough enough to withstand thin strikes and cart path scrapes while offering enough tackiness for predictable control on approach shots. For players with moderate swing speeds, this ball maximizes air time and minimizes sidespin, helping to keep shots on the fairway rather than in the rough.

Ravvy AI insight

The 2025 model leverages a new polymer blend in the cover that specifically aids mid-handicappers in reducing slices. If you currently struggle with a harsh vibrations through your irons, this ball is the most cost-effective solution to improve shot feel without sacrificing significant yardage.

Predicting greenside roll

Because this ball has lower spin than premium chrome models, plan for 2 to 3 feet of extra roll on your chips. Aim slightly short of the pin to allow for the release.

Ownership tips

tip

Match your swing speed

This ball performs best for golfers with driver swing speeds under 95 mph. The low compression allows slower swings to fully compress the ball for maximum energy transfer.

care

Maintaining the finish

Clean the hybrid cover with a simple damp microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh metal brushes which can scuff the polymer surface and affect aerodynamics over time.
