What it is

The Waterdrop BES008 Replacement Filter provides a budget-friendly alternative to name-brand filtration without compromising on water quality. Utilizing premium coconut shell activated carbon and high-quality resin, these filters are designed to strip away chlorine, odors, and heavy metals. This process is essential for espresso lovers, as it ensures the delicate notes of the coffee bean are not masked by chemical tastes or sediment found in tap water. Beyond flavor enhancement, these filters serve as a critical defense for your espresso machine's internal components. By reducing mineral buildup and scale, they help prevent clogging in the delicate plumbing of high-end machines like the Barista Touch or Oracle series. The two-pack offers a four-month supply of clean water, featuring a simple installation process that requires only a brief pre-soak before being placed into the tank. It is a practical upgrade for those who want to maintain their machine's longevity while cutting down on expensive recurring maintenance costs.

Ravvy AI insight

While third-party filters can vary in quality, Waterdrop stands out by securing TUV SUD certification, which verifies food-grade safety standards. To maximize the life of your machine, pair these filters with soft or bottled water if you live in an area with extremely high TDS, as no small tank filter can fully replace a dedicated descaling routine in hard water regions.

Ownership tips

tip

Use the Date Tracker

Utilize the built-in dial on the filter holder to mark the month of installation. Forgetting to change these filters can lead to scale buildup that may eventually void your machine warranty.

care

Regular Tank Cleaning

Whenever you replace the filter, take the opportunity to scrub the water tank with mild soap. Biofilm can accumulate in the corners of the tank regardless of how well the water is filtered.
