What it is

The LEGO Disney Moana 2 Heihei set captures the bug-eyed charm of the ocean's most confused chicken in a vibrant 566-piece build. Standing over 10.5 inches tall, this model goes beyond a simple figure by offering articulated wings, a rotatable head, and adjustable tail feathers. The inclusion of a dedicated display stand with floral accents and a nameplate makes it a sophisticated choice for shelf decor rather than just a temporary plaything. While designed for builders aged nine and up, the construction process offers enough complexity to satisfy older Disney enthusiasts. The build focuses heavily on capturing Heihei's signature expression through clever brick orientation. Once finished, the model feels sturdy despite its lanky proportions, serving as a bright focal point for any Disney collection or a cheerful addition to a workspace. It successfully balances the whimsical nature of the character with the structural integrity expected from a high-quality LEGO display piece.

Ravvy AI insight

With a high piece count for its price point, this set offers excellent value for enthusiasts looking for a long build time. The use of specialized joints for the neck and wings allows for expressive posing, making it one of the better character-to-brick translations in the Disney line. Note that the narrow base requires the stand for optimal stability on uneven surfaces.

Ownership tips

tip

Secure the Feet First

When placing Heihei on the included stand, ensure the feet are fully clicked into the base plate before letting go. The height of the model makes it top-heavy until it is properly locked in.

care

Dusting and Cleaning

Due to the many small crevices in the feathers, use a soft makeup brush or canned air to remove dust. This prevents the bright colors from looking dull over time on your display shelf.

Frequently asked questions

Is this set too difficult for a 9-year-old?

The age rating of 9 plus is accurate due to the techniques used for the tail feathers and internal support. Most children in this age group will handle it well, though they may need a few minutes of help with the base structure.

Can Heihei stand without the display base?

Yes, the feet are designed to support the weight on flat surfaces. However, for long-term display or safety from bumping, using the included stand is highly recommended to prevent tipping.

How long does it take to build this set?

For an average builder, this set typically takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours. The 566 pieces are divided into multiple bags to make the process organized and manageable.

Does this include a Moana mini-doll?

No, this set focuses exclusively on a large-scale buildable version of Heihei. It is intended as a character model rather than a standard playset with figurines.
