What it is

The LG 32GX870A-B represents a significant shift in high-end gaming displays by offering a dual-identity screen. Most monitors force you to choose between the cinematic clarity of 4K and the blistering speeds of a competitive display. This UltraGear OLED utilizes innovative dual-mode technology, allowing you to toggle between a 4K resolution at 240Hz for immersive RPGs and a 1080p resolution at a massive 480Hz for professional-grade FPS gaming. It is a rare hardware solution that truly serves two distinct masters without major compromises. Beyond the resolution switching, the visual quality is bolstered by Micro Lens Array+ technology. This addresses the traditional OLED weakness of low brightness by pushing peaks up to 1300 nits, ensuring that HDR content pops even in well-lit rooms. The inclusion of a matte anti-glare coating is a practical touch for those who find glossy OLEDs too reflective. With a 0.03ms response time and comprehensive sync support for both NVIDIA and AMD users, it delivers the fluid motion clarity expected of a flagship gaming peripheral.

Ravvy AI insight

The standout feature is the VESA Certified Dual Mode, which physically changes how the panel handles data to achieve 480Hz at 1080p. While 32 inches is large for 1080p gaming, the competitive advantage of the refresh rate outweighs the pixel density drop for serious gamers. We recommend using the DP 2.1 port to future-proof your setup, though current GPUs will still see maximum benefit through the included HDMI 2.1 connections.
