What it is

The TICONN Stretch Wrap provides a reliable barrier for household goods during the chaos of a move. Unlike standard thin kitchen films, this industrial-grade plastic offers significant elasticity, allowing it to stretch up to three times its length. This tension creates a tight, self-adhering bond that keeps drawers shut and upholstery protected without leaving behind the sticky residue associated with packing tape. The 15-inch width is a strategic middle ground, wide enough to cover large surfaces like sofa arms efficiently while remaining manageable for smaller bundles. What sets this kit apart is the inclusion of two snap-in handles that facilitate a much smoother application process. These handles allow the roll to spin freely, preventing the friction burns or hand fatigue often caused by holding the cardboard core directly. Whether you are prepping for a long-distance relocation or simply putting items into seasonal storage, this wrap shields against dust and moisture while keeping your inventory visible through the clear film.

Ravvy AI insight

While the 1000-foot length is generous for single-room tasks, large sectional sofas and mattresses consume film quickly. To maximize value, use the wrap primarily for securing moving blankets in place rather than using the plastic as the sole layer of impact protection.

How to get the most out of it

Applying with Tension

For the most secure hold, pull the film tight as you wrap. The elastic memory of the plastic is what creates the compression needed to keep furniture drawers and doors from sliding open during transit.

Ownership tips

tip

Layering for Protection

Plastic wrap prevents scratches and dust but does not stop dings. Wrap your furniture in moving blankets first, then use the stretch film to lock the blankets securely in place for maximum protection.

Handle Storage

Keep the snap-in handles even after the roll is finished. They are standard sizes and can often be reused with other 15-inch replacement rolls, saving you money on future packing supplies.

Frequently asked questions

Will this wrap leave a sticky residue on my couch?

No, this film is engineered to cling only to itself. It does not contain adhesives, so it will not leave any gummy residue on leather, wood, or fabric surfaces even after long-term storage.

How many rolls do I need for a two-bedroom apartment?
