What it is

The Yelanon 56-piece furniture pad set offers a practical solution for homeowners tired of shifting sofas and scratched floorboards. By combining high-density felt with a rubberized grip layer, these pads create a reliable barrier between heavy furniture legs and delicate surfaces like laminate or hardwood. The assortment includes both round and square shapes in varying sizes to accommodate standard chair legs as well as broader appliance bases. Installation is straightforward due to the peel-and-stick adhesive backing, which is formulated to resist shearing forces when furniture is bumped or leaned against. While many felt pads only focus on scratch prevention, this specific hybrid design prioritizes a high-friction grip to ensure that lightweight chairs and heavy beds stay exactly where you place them. It is an essential toolkit for anyone moving into a new home or refreshing their current interior layout.

Ravvy AI insight

This kit is strategically weighted toward smaller sizes which are the most frequently used for dining sets. For maximum longevity, users should prioritize cleaning the application surface with rubbing alcohol to ensure the high-density felt bonds fully without debris interference.

How to get the most out of it

Surface Preparation

Always wipe the bottom of your furniture legs with a damp cloth or rubbing alcohol before applying. Removing dust and factory oils ensures the adhesive forms a permanent bond that wont shift over time.

Ownership tips

tip

Avoid Dragging

While these pads are designed to protect floors, avoid dragging extremely heavy items across the room after application. The lateral pressure can sometimes cause the pad to slide off the adhesive base.

care

Routine Inspection

Check the pads every six months for compressed fibers or hair buildup. Replacing a worn pad is much cheaper than refinishing a hardwood floor that has been scratched by trapped debris.

Frequently asked questions

Can these be used on area rugs?

These are primarily designed for hard surfaces like wood or tile. On rugs, the rubberized grip may create too much friction, making it difficult to move chairs and potentially stressing the adhesive bond.

Will the adhesive ruin my furniture legs?

The adhesive is designed to be semi-permanent but can be removed. If residue remains, a small amount of citrus-based cleaner or rubbing alcohol will typically dissolve the stickiness without harming the wood finish.

How thick are these pads?

These pads are approximately 2mm to 3mm thick. This provides enough cushion to prevent noise and scratches without making your furniture look noticeably elevated or unstable.

Are they waterproof for kitchen use?

They can handle occasional damp mopping nearby, but they are not intended for environments where they will be submerged. Excessive water can weaken the felt fibers and the adhesive backing over time.
