What it is

The Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet 2252 stands out as a high performance upright vacuum that avoids the bulkiness typically associated with traditional models. Its defining feature is the swivel steering, which allows you to pivot around chair legs and corners with minimal wrist strain. The Triple Action Brush Roll is specifically tuned to agitate carpet fibers, lifting stubborn fur and dander that cheaper vacuums often miss. On hard surfaces, the scatter free technology ensures that dry debris like cat litter or kibble is sucked into the chamber rather than being flicked across the floor. While it lacks the premium HEPA filtration found in high end models, the large one liter tank and easy empty design make it a practical workhorse for busy pet owners. It is a straightforward, corded machine that focuses on raw suction power and maneuverability over complex digital features.

Ravvy AI insight

This model offers one of the best price to performance ratios in the upright category due to its specialized brush roll. It is more agile than the standard CleanView but heavier than cordless sticks, making it ideal for deep cleaning sessions. However, users should note the 80 decibel noise level, which is louder than many modern silent models.

How to get the most out of it

Adjust Height for Different Floors

Use the dial on the foot of the vacuum to match your floor type. Setting it too low on thick carpet can stress the motor, while setting it too high on hard floors will reduce suction efficiency.

Ownership tips

care

Clean the Brush Roll Regularly

To maintain maximum suction, remove the bottom cover periodically to cut away tangled hair from the brush roll. This prevents the motor from overheating and ensures the bristles can agitate carpet fibers effectively.

tip

Wash the Foam Filter

The pre motor filter is washable. Rinse it under cold water every few weeks and let it air dry completely for 24 hours before reinsertion to keep the vacuum smelling fresh.

Frequently asked questions

Does this vacuum work well on hardwood floors?

Yes, it features scatter free technology designed to stop debris from being kicked back by the brush roll on hard surfaces. It transitions well between carpets and solid flooring.

Is the filter a HEPA filter?

No, this model uses a standard multi stage disk filtration system. While effective for general dust, those with severe allergies might prefer a model with a sealed HEPA system.

How heavy is the vacuum to carry upstairs?

It weighs approximately 12.5 pounds. This is relatively lightweight for a full sized upright vacuum, making it manageable for most users to move between floors.

Can you turn the brush roll off?
