What it is

The Bissell CleanView Swivel 3836 offers an impressive balance of power and agility for an upright vacuum. Its primary standout feature is the swivel steering, which allows you to navigate around heavy furniture and sharp corners without the lifting and pivoting required by older models. The Triple Action Brush Roll works aggressively to pull deep-seated debris from carpets while the scatter-free technology ensures that dust and crumbs on hard floors are sucked into the bin rather than pushed across the room. This 2024 iteration includes an active extension wand, making it much easier to tackle cobwebs or baseboards without switching to a different machine. While it is a corded model, the consistent suction power provided by the multi-cyclonic system means you won't experience the performance fade common in battery-operated units. It is a workhorse designed for busy households that need a reliable tool for daily cleaning cycles.

Ravvy AI insight

The CleanView 3836 offers exceptional value for money because it includes a HEPA filter and swivel steering, features typically reserved for more expensive machines. Buyers should note that while it handles hard floors well, its true strength lies in low to medium pile carpeting where the brush roll can fully engage. If you have multiple pets, the washable filter system is a major cost-saver over the life of the product.

How to get the most out of it

Maximize Suction

Empty the 1 liter dirt bin once it reaches the max fill line. Overfilling the bin reduces the multi-cyclonic suction efficiency and can lead to dust escaping the seals.
