What it is

The Bissell CleanView 3536 is a pragmatic solution for homeowners who prioritize efficiency and capacity over complex smart features. Its standout feature is the OnePass technology, which utilizes an aggressive brush roll design to lift embedded dirt from carpets in a single motion. By combining this with a generous 2 liter dust bin, the vacuum allows for longer cleaning sessions in large floor plans without the constant interruption of emptying debris. While it is marketed as lightweight, it retains the sturdy build quality expected from an upright, ensuring it stays planted during heavy duty tasks. Beyond floor surfaces, the integrated extension wand expands the utility of this machine to high corners and ceiling fixtures. The active wand design provides up to 10 feet of reach, which is significant for an upright at this price point. It also features scatter free technology for hard floors, which prevents the brush roll from flinging debris across tiles or wood. This makes it a versatile primary vacuum for multi surface homes, particularly those with high traffic or pets that require frequent, deep cleaning maintenance.

Ravvy AI insight

At under 100 dollars, this model offers one of the best price-to-capacity ratios in the upright market. Buyers should note that while it handles hard floors well, its true strength lies in medium pile carpets where the OnePass brush roll can fully engage. If you have a large square footage to cover, the XL 2L tank will save significant time compared to slim stick vacuums that require frequent emptying.

How to get the most out of it

Maximizing Suction

Regularly check the brush roll for wrapped hair or threads. Clearing these fibers ensures the OnePass technology can effectively agitate carpet fibers for a deeper clean.

Filter Maintenance

Wash the foam filter every few months with warm water and mild detergent. Ensure it is completely dry for at least 24 hours before reinserting it to prevent motor damage.

tip

Hard Floor Settings

When moving from carpet to hard floors, use the scatter free setting to ensure the vacuum picks up fine dust rather than pushing it away from the suction path.
