What it is

The Shark Stratos IZ862H represents a significant step forward in cordless vacuum technology, blending raw suction power with intelligent sensors. Its standout feature is Clean Sense IQ, which uses infrared sensors to detect hidden debris and automatically boost power. This eliminates the guesswork of cleaning, ensuring you aren't wasting battery on clean spots while providing deep extraction where it is needed most. The addition of a scent cartridge in the floorhead actively neutralizes the stale smells often associated with pet hair and dust, keeping the exhaust air smelling clean. Design choices like the MultiFLEX wand set this model apart for accessibility. Rather than moving heavy couches, the vacuum bends at a hinge to reach underneath while you stand upright. The DuoClean PowerFins system utilizes two distinct rollers to tackle both fine dust on hardwoods and deep-seated grit in carpets simultaneously. While the 8.9 pound weight is slightly heavier than some minimalist competitors, the trade-off is a more robust motor and a larger dustbin that can handle whole-house cleaning sessions.

Ravvy AI insight

The IZ862H is the sweet spot in the Stratos lineup for those who prioritize indoor air quality. By combining HEPA filtration with an active odor neutralizer, it solves the 'stinky vacuum' problem better than most competitors. We recommend leaving it in Auto mode to maximize the 60-minute runtime, as the highest manual setting will deplete the battery significantly faster.

Ownership tips

tip

Maximize Runtime with Auto Mode

Always use the Clean Sense IQ mode rather than the manual Boost setting. The vacuum will automatically throttle power down when it detects clean floors, extending your battery life up to the full 60 minutes.

care

Maintain the Dual Rollers

While the brushrolls are self-cleaning for hair, you should still wipe down the soft front roller with a dry cloth periodically. This ensures fine dust pickup on hard floors remains optimal.
